How to Make Money in Plastics Recycling

April 6, 2016; 10:00am – 11:15am

Recycling plastics is like recycling any other commodity—it takes a keen understanding of the markets, material and equipment to succeed, grow and thrive. Over the past several years many metal recyclers have successfully made the jump into plastics. Their efforts have paid off in that they are now more diversified, handling more materials, and in a better position to weather the ups and downs of individual market sectors. These recyclers are in a stronger position to take advantage of the down markets and profit handsomely in the up markets. In this session, you’ll hear from metals recyclers who have successfully jumped into plastics recycling, how they did it, and where they are now as a result. If you’re looking to add plastic to your commodity stream, or are just looking for an answer to help your business stay afloat in these difficult economic times, you’ll want to attend this session.
